Owain Talbot

Owain lives in Leeds and has worked with children and young people within education and community arts for almost a decade. He is passionate about ensuring that children are supported to fulfil their aspirations, whatever their background or needs. Owain joined the Governing Body as he was impressed by the care and support shown by the leadership team towards the children at Shakespeare.  

Owain currently works for the Local Authority’s SENSAP team, working with children, families and schools in facilitating the statutory special educational needs (SEN) process, including the provision of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP), for children aged 0-14 in the south of Leeds. Owain is a qualified SENCO in Further Education and previously worked as a High Needs SENCO and Designated Safeguarding Officer in a local college.
