September in Early Years
Our first project in Reception is Big World, Little Me. During this project we are exploring the similarities and differences between ourselves and others. This week we have shared the story My Hair, Hannah Lee. We loved comparing the hairstyles we could see to that of our friends. Especially when the girl chose to wear her afro, like some of our children in school!
We are now moving on to the core text, The Proudest Blue. We have been discussing which children in our class wear a hijab and the colour of their hijab.
On the 8th and 10th October we will be inviting parents into Reception to share family traditions and get to know each other better!
