Y5 and Y6 meet a table tennis legend
Year 5 and 6 had a very special visitor today - Oye Jemiyo - a table tennis legend who has won many gold medals in both national and international tournaments. Oye described how, despite being in a wheelchair since he was two, his determination, passion and positive mindset enabled him to become one of the best table tennis players in the country. Oye's encouraging words reminded us of how important it is to work hard and value the support and encouragement of others around us.
Some of our year 5 and 6 children even got the chance to play against Oje and what a fantastic job they did!
