Y5 Malala Project
In year 5, we have been learning all about the inspirational story of Malala Yousafzai this term. For our DT/computing project we developed our sewing skills to make tote bags. On the bags, we created and printed a computer-aided design in support of Malala's charity - Malala Fund. This organisation helps to support girls around the world to access education. With more than 130 million girls not in school across the globe, the work of this charity is absolutely essential to ensure that every girl can learn and lead without fear. In order to raise money for the charity, we sold our bags at our festive nativity performance. We managed to raise a fantastic £76 as well as increasing awareness about Malala Fund and the incredible work that they do. Well done to our year 5 pupils - what a creative bunch you are!
