Down on the Farm
Our Pre-School Nursery children had some very exciting visitors this half term! We kick-started our new learning project ‘Down on the Farm' with a visit from some real farm animals! During the visit from Ian’s Mobile Farm we met rabbits, guinea pigs, hens, ducks, goats, sheep, donkeys, alpacas, pigs and the farmer’s trusty sheepdog, Meg.
The children learnt all about how to look after the farm animals. We even helped the farmer brush the goats and the donkeys to keep their hair nice and soft. The children were able to use and embed newly-learnt vocabulary as they explored the animals, as well as hearing and learning lots of brand new words too. This provided the children with a real and memorable experience which fed their thirst for finding out more. What an amazing day!
